Your Experienced Mississippi River Trophy Catfish Guide
Hi! I’m Bob Crosby. I’m a licensed US Coast Guard-Captain. I have been fishing trophy blue cats in the Mississippi River at Vicksburg for more than 20 years. We will fish deep holes, deep channels, ledges and drop-offs for big blues. We will also catch some smaller blues and an occasional flathead. However, big trophy blue catfish on a rod & reel is our mission. It’s a rush you should experience!
Equipment Used On Your Catfish Guide Trip
The boat we will be using to catch big catfish on the Mississippi River is a G3 2100 Sportsman. The G3 Sportsman is 21 feet long and nearly 8 feet wide for comfortable seating and a stable ride on the river.
I utilize top-of-the-line electronics to find Mississippi River trophy blue catfish. We don’t just drop a line and hope for a bite. With more than 20 years on the Mississippi River in Vicksburg, not just catching but targeting trophy blue cats, has provided the knowledge needed to consistently put my clients on trophy catfish. Day in and day out. Sometimes the fish are where I expect them to be and sometimes we have to hunt them. Fortunately, they don’t usually go too far.
